Leather Care Guide
This guide applies to Tewtiw handbags, tote bags, backpacks, and duffle bags.
Cleaning
• Use a soft, slightly damp cloth for light cleaning.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, alcohol-based products, or household cleaners.
• For deeper cleaning, use a leather cleaner suitable for natural leather and follow its instructions.
• Test any cleaner on a small hidden area before full use.
General Care
• Store leather items in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to moisture. If leather becomes wet, let it air dry at room temperature.
• Remove dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
• Avoid overloading bags to help maintain their shape.
Conditioning
Leather may benefit from occasional conditioning.
• Apply a leather conditioner using a clean cloth.
• Let it absorb naturally, then buff lightly.
• Conditioning frequency depends on climate and usage.
Storage
When not in use:
• Store bags in a breathable dust bag or cotton cloth.
• Avoid plastic covers that trap moisture.
• Lightly fill bags with clean paper to maintain their shape.
Disclaimer
Leather may change in appearance over time with regular use. Changes in color, softness, or surface texture are normal characteristics of natural leather products.
Natural Characteristics of Leather
Leather is a natural material and may show variations in color, grain, or markings. These differences are normal and not considered defects.
With regular use, leather may develop a patina, which is part of the natural aging process.
Because Tewtiw products are hand craft in small batches, slight variations in stitching or tone may also occur.
